The Sukhoi Su-17 Fitter is a variable sweep-wing design fighter bomber developed in the Soviet Union. The Sukhoi Su-17 was developed from the Sukhoi Su-7, and entered service in 1969. The Su-17 served in more than 20 countries, and is still in use in a number of countries.
The Sukhoi Su-20 and the Sukhoi Su-22 are usually considered as variants of the Su-17 Fitter.
