Should we cover our tats??
Ok .... I love my tattoos and plan to have more. I also plan to become a podiatrist working for the nhs or in private practice. Should we cover our tattoos? Thoughts.... now remember be kind.... this can be a hot topic!!! No need to be nasty.
My opinion?? I don’t want to cover, I want to be me and show my skills as a podiatrist, why do tattoos change that?? But I am not sure what policies are at my uni or clinic - I will update in sept or Oct when I know more.
I believe no one can ask you to cover your tattoos??? They can with piercings for infection control but tattoos are not a problem for that and are part of the body!!!
I also think, if I cover my tattoos then I am joining the world that says it’s ok to do that. I don’t wanna be in that world.
My husband says - it’s a great conversation piece - let it happen!!!
