The New Tesla RoboTaxi will only charge wirelessly with these charging pads, and here is why this is a troubling idea
If you ever tried to charge your smartphone or your watch wirelessly you would realize that after a while they get really hot and sometimes they would stop charging if the charger doesn’t have a cooler
That is because wireless chargers are not efficient so they would convert some of the power they are consuming to heat
This means you will use more power to wirelessly charge your devices
This means you will pay more money to wirelessly charge RoboTaxi compared to just plugging it in.
