Crossing the Dubai Creek by boat is a popular mode of transport for many of the city's residents and tourists. The boats used are small motorized water taxis called abras. They can hold around twenty people and offer the cheapest and fastest means of travelling between Deira and Bur Dubai.

Along side of the Abra Al Fahidi Station is located Al Seef Heritage Village, Al Seef is a place that take you back 50-60 years ago of simple UAE people lifestyle where they used to use mud and wood to build their own houses, many traditional restaurants and cafes around coupled with some Arabic as well.
