Thousands of people on April 25 continued to protest in downtown Baltimore, six days after a young black man died in police custody.
At least 2,000 people marched to City Hall for a protest rally demanding answers for the unexplained death of the young black man. Some were even seen throwing metal items at police officers and at least one police vehicle's windshield was reported to be broken.
Freddie Gray, 25, was arrested on April 12 when police found a flick knife in his pocket. He was later sent to the hospital and on April 19 he was declared dead from serious spine injury.
According to Baltimore police, in a press conference held on April 24, Gray suffered those injuries as his seat belt was not properly fastened on the way to the hospital.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said she wanted an answer for the exact reason behind the tragedy.
Protest organizer Timothy Efunlade Fitts said, "And a lot times you know they say things in such a way to appease the people but don't give the necessary results. We want a transparent investigation, we want a quick investigation. I think the longer that they drag this investigation now, the people will be more cloud that they are going to cover this thing again like they have been doing a lot of homicides or police related homicides of black unarmed men, black unarmed women in this country."
There has not been any report of casualty so far.
