fun fact;- bees communicate by dancing
When bees are over 150 meters away from the hive and hunting for food, they engage in a waggle dance, also known as a wag-tail dance. This dance, as opposed to the round and sickle dances, enables recruits to express both distance and direction. Inside the hive, bees perform unique dances to indicate the location of flowers. Other bees observe as one dances in order to discover the location of a particular flower patch. The dancing bee's scent is that of the flower patch, and she also feeds the onlooker bees some of the nectar she's collected. When a honey bee returns to the colony after finding a food supply, it performs a dance that provides information about its location, quality, smell, direction, and distance, allowing nestmates to take advantage of it.
