But that one move will share your data among a wide range of government and local council bodies. It's not just the tax that they are after but also to cut down on the benefit fraud of Universal Credit and Housing Benefits.
Private hire and taxi driving has always been one of the main ways to earn money when on benefits because of the high cash work that is untraceable.
But now it's all digital and those working and claiming will soon be discovered. Will this be a good thing for genuine taxi and private hire drivers such as Uber drivers. There will be no more topping up of benefits. The job has to pay on its own.
