Chennai & its surrounding districts bear the brunt of Cyclone Michaung as it makes landfall near Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh. According to the IMD, the cyclone has triggered heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry. Loss of life & property has been reported in the area. Poornima Murali reports
