Bahrain has some pretty special malls and the Mall of Dilmunia on Dilmunia Island Bahrain is the newest and may be one of the best. The Covid19 pandemic delayed the grand opening of this treasure, but the doors were open for a sneak peak at what's to come.

Boasting Bahrain's first aquarium, Dilmunia Mall is already setting itself up as noteworthy landmark. The huge cylinder tank rises from the bottom floor to the top of the building and when fully stocked will hold 2500 different species of sea life. It's not yet fully stocked with the sea creatures during this visit, but still pretty cool to see the fish swimming around in there.

In addition to the aquarium, the ceiling of the main strip inside the mall is equipped with a huge movie screen which features a few sweet movies of impressive nature scenes.

Lastly - and probably the main attraction on this visit - was life-size display of Marvel and DC super heroes, among many other characters. The Avengers, Batman, Super Mario, the Blues Brothers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-men - the list goes on and on. Was a nice little unexpected bonus during the visit.

Travel has been tough during these Covid times, so it was nice to have something new to take a look at as the lockdown eased. Enjoy another of Bahrain's attractions! The Mall of Dilmunia!
