Mat Hector is an accomplished drummer with over 30 years of experience recording and touring with artists like Iggy Pop. He recorded this tom mic comparison at Jack Daw Studios.

For this mic shootout, Mat conducts a mic test on the Tom-Tom drum and the Floor Drum. Each test is executed in two iterations: without overhead mics and with overhead mics. The specifications of the tests are below.
