The US State Department on Wednesday ordered its non-emergency government employees in Iraq to leave the country immediately. Visa services at both the US Embassy in Baghdad and the US Consulate in Erbil will be temporarily suspended. This comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the US, with America increasing its military presence in the Gulf.
