In today’s video I use The New Era Rope Machine to make a three stranded rope using bailing twine. We’ve owned the rope maker since I was a kid but couldn’t figure out how it was used to make rope. We always got the single strands all tangled well before we could produce a finished rope. It wasn’t until about 15 years ago that I found a book that helped me to see there were a couple of simple parts missing. Once I made the missing parts I could straight away begging making my own rope. From start to finish it only takes about 6 minutes to make a 5 metre rope.
