Parks in Crystal will soon undergo an update. On December 19, the city council approved a 20+ year master plan to upgrade its parks for uses that better reflect the kinds of sports that people are playing. One of the main changes will be reconfiguring baseball and softball fields to more rectangular shaped fields for soccer, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee. The city’s Becker Park will also become a destination park complete with an inclusive playground, fountain, and concert space for the public to enjoy.
