My grandson gave this Pixel Chix toy which he had bought in a Charity Shop. It didn't work and after opening it up I found the button PCB was corroded, probably due to the batteries leaking. The original wires were difficult to solder and broke off easily, so I replaced some. I connected a piece of strip-board to the button inputs and used another wire to the 3V6 to test if the device would work. Touching the 3V6 wire against the strip-board strips brought the toy to life and demonstrated it could work as intended.
