Using the screen mounted camera, Active City Brake applies the brakes automatically if it senses an imminent collision with a vehicle ahead during town driving up to 20mph.

What are the main advantages of the Active City Brake function, and how does it work?
The Citroën C3 Active Safety Brake helps prevent collisions. It's switched on from the touchscreen tablet. It operates at speeds above 5 km/h for fixed and moving objects, and below a certain speed for pedestrians. It detects possible obstacles using the camera and radar. The system operates at speeds of up to 80 km/h when a vehicle is detected, and up to 60 km/h when a pedestrian is detected. If the system detects a possible collision, it alerts the driver and a warning light flashes. If the driver fails to brake, then braking is triggered automatically.
