The Basics:

There are many moving components to a vehicles suspension system. It can be difficult to diagnose when the noise is faint and inconsistant.

The Problem:

The Land Cruiser suspension components on the 100 series Land Cruisers are well built from the factory, however, due to its immense weight and age, they will start to fail. My stock upper control arm boot was torn and leaking grease when i bought the truck. Logically, they were replaced when the truck was lifted. But now, there is this annoying squeak and I think I found out why.

Affected:

1998-2007 Toyota Land Cruisers and Lexus LX470

Solution:

Clean and lube. Also check your strut bushings are not overtightened.
