Welcome to Crunching the Catalogue with Kimberley Rew and Lee Cave-Berry. The idea is, you send us a request for one of our songs - we record a straight off the bat performance of it, in our Bat Cave (or spare room), and put it on Youtube, with a dedication, plus the answer to any hopefully relevant question you might have.

Kim was a member of Robyn Hitchcock’s band the Soft Boys, then a founder member of Katrina and the Waves, and their main songwriter - Walking on Sunshine (also recorded by Dolly Parton), the Eurovision winning Love Shine a Light, Going down to Liverpool (also recorded by the Bangles), That’s Just the Woman In Me (also recorded by Celine Dion).

Lee Cave-Berry has been playing bass in bands since 1977.. mostly in the Cambridge area, but also York, North Wales (including Liverpool), Ipswich and Gibraltar. Went on tour in 1998 in Europe with the Mal Gray (Wild Angels and Sha Na Na) Band supporting Fats Domino.

Kimberley Rew and Lee Cave-Berry (sometimes Kim and Lee) have been a musical and romantic item for twenty-plus years, either the duo (especially during lockdowns!) or as band members- particularly with Cambridge band Jack, featuring singer Roger Smith, who died of Covid in 2020. We wear the trademark hats as a tribute to Roger (and to obscure Kim’s standard thinning on top).

Guitar and bass is a much more unusual format than you’d think! T Rex briefly went thru this line up at the time of Ride a White Swan. But we also have the male and female vocals.
