China's Landspace has successfully conducted a vertical takeoff and landing (VTVL) test of its reusable Zhuque-3 rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The rocket reached an altitude of 350 meters and achieved a precise landing within 2.4 meters of the target, marking a significant milestone in China's commercial spaceflight endeavors. The Zhuque-3, made of stainless steel and powered by methane-liquid oxygen, is set to launch its first mission in 2025. This test is a part of China's broader push to develop reusable rocket technology, following similar tests by other Chinese companies like iSpace and Galactic Energy. The Zhuque-3 aims to compete with SpaceX's Falcon 9, highlighting China's growing capabilities in the global space race.
