- Non-native English speakers frequently struggle with English consonant combinations, especially when the English /r/ sound comes after a consonant.
The most common consonant combination that people struggle with is the English /p/ sound + English /r/ sound - 'pr'.

Pronunciation mistake #2: Plosive + Plosive combinations
When 2 plosives come together in English, you do NOT pronounce them both fully.
Instead, you do the following 4 things:
1. Go into the position of plosive one
2. Stop airflow
3. Move to the position of plosive 2
4. Release airflow
Pronunciation Mistake #3: Pronouncing the second 'c' as a /k/ sound
In the word 'practice', there are two letter 'c's
The first letter is pronounced as an English /k/ sound
The second 'c' is pronounced as an English /s/ sound... not a /k/ sound.
