A microphone shoot out on my Sonor snare drum.
Microphones used:
Shure SM7b
Shure SM57
Shure SM58
AKG D190E
AKG C1000S
Se Electronics R1
Se Electronics Se1A
Behringer C2
Superlux R102

All microphones were positioned to be perfectly in phase with each other. All microphones were recorded using Focusrite Saffire preamps. All microphones were recorded with levels as closely matched as possible.

Each microphone is heard 4 times:
First with no dampening and no treatment
Second with an Evans E-Ring and no treatment
Third with no dampening and EQ and saturation
Finally with an Evans E-Ring and EQ and saturation

The EQ used is the WAVES Scheps73.
HPF set at 80Hz, boosting at 220Hz, 7.2kHz and 12kHz

The saturation used is the AVID Lo-Fi, adding a very small amount of distortion.
