Can you put laundry detergent in the dishwasher? I ran out of Cascade Tablets and I wanted to figure out what can you use instead of dishwasher detergent. I remember one time I accidentally ran laundry soap in dishwasher and it created suds everywhere and they were coming out of the machine but that was 30 years ago and I think now laundry detergent doesn't create as many suds as before. I also let asked my friend, "I ran out of dishwasher tablets, what can I use?" I just wanted to know, "can you use liquid dish soap in the dishwasher?" I think that's probably how I caused a mess 30 years ago when I was a kid and my chores included doing the dishes.
I'm still waiting for there to be Tide Pods for dishwasher, but for now, I will try my Tide pods that I use in my laundry. Maybe this will work and get my dishes clean. If you're wondering, "can you use liquid dish soap in the dishwasher?" I would say be very careful and only use a few drops because that stuff makes a lot of suds.

It's hard to tell. I would guess that if you were in a bind, and needed to use something instead of dishwasher powder or tablets, maybe you could use laundry detergent or tide pods in the dishwasher now and then. My dishes came out clean as you can see in the video.
I just used a tide pod in the dishwasher and the results were surprising. It seemed safe in case you were wondering if it's safe to use laundry detergent in your automatic dishwasher. If you accidentally ran laundry soap in the dishwasher, you're probably going to be okay. In the future, you should probably use dishwasher pods!
