I'm sure almost all of you have heard Led Zeppelin's classic riff, in their hit song, Stairway to Heaven, released in 1971. But have you heard these riffs that sound almost exactly like the Stairway to heaven riff? Dolly Parton, who along with her husband was a BIG Led Zeppelin fan, released a song called We Used To in 1975, 4 years after Stairway to Heaven was released. The riff in this song was almost exactly the same as the riff in Stairway to Heaven. in 1968, a few years before Stairway to Heaven was released, the band Spirit released the song Taurus, in which they also incorporated a riff similar to Stairway to Heaven. Spirit believed it was so similar, that they attempted to dispute it in court, which continued on and off between 2016 and 2020.
