Sound from @will789gb rave on Drama Show / Phonic FM. There are dramas around #CDWalk and #RuinsHE but based on reality. Express and Echo reports that planning permission is probable and shows an artist impression supplied by the developers. Video shows that the shot is based on being as far back as possible into the St Lukes Space. The lawn trees and shrubs are all on the St Lukes side of the road. the proposed building takes up all the available space with no trees or lawn.
The sound here is just the first few minutes of the show. Later there was also comment on the way Waitrose has a fairly low height set back from the road with quite a lot of green space for dog walking. Was there a planning involvement when this was designed? If so what changed?
The video also shows the new building for student accommodation where the ambulance base used to be.
Please add comments. See also News Please - Exeter Education Innovation Institute . The Exeter University Strategy mentions a new Institute but there is no news it appears. Will HE move online or into some hybrid state that would require less space? Why is there no discussion about this? Links please if there is research published in UK but not well known. Some would say UK has just gone "back to normal" for education although there is a lot of reporting post pandemic on changes for retail and offices.
