In part one of our webinar series ([ Ссылка ]), our panel discussed a range of topics related to standards, certification, and traceability and how we can use these to advance our industry sustainability goals, as well as ways we can improve the system to establish more understanding, adoptability, efficiency, assurance, and affordability. Technology advancements was one of the topics we touched on.
The objective of this second webinar is to dive deeper into the prospects and possibilities of so many of the technologies we’ve all been hearing about for some time now, from blockchain and forensic tracers, to remote sensing/inspections and artificial intelligence/machine learning. We have assembled a solid cast of experienced practitioners in these fields to present and debate pros and cons, opportunities and challenges, and how we need to be thinking about implementing them to improve our textile traceability system and why.
Joining the discussion are:
- Kieran Kelly at gen-sys with a review of blockchain and AI applications
- MeiLin Wan at Applied DNA Sciences, who will review forensic tracers/DNA
- Wendy Branson, Manager of Service Operations within GeoSpatial Services at MDA
