The 10-day Mysuru Dasara came to an end on traditional note. The much-awaited and world famous Jamboo Savari lasted about 25 minutes and witnessed by a designated gathering in the palace due to Covid regulation. To prevent crowing outside the palace, police barricaded the approach points and restricted vehicular movement.
The Jambo Savari marking Vijaya Dashami took place within the palace premises with Abhimanyu carrying the 750kg golden howdah (Ambari) for the second time. Elephant Abhimanyu was accompanied by female tuskers Kaveri and Chaitra.Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai offered puja to the idol of Chamundeshwari along with other dignitaries at 5:27 pm. Bommai along with Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, district in-charge minister Somashekhar, Mayor Sunanda Palanetra, DC Dr. Bagadi Gowtham, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta also offered flower petals to goddess Chamundeshwari.
