Parable of the Vineyard of the Lord

1) Why do you think Isaiah uses the metaphor of the winepress to describe the Savior’s Atonement?
2) What are your thoughts about the “tower” or temple being placed “in the midst” of the vineyard?
3) Why do you think Isaiah compares Jesus Christ to “the choicest vine”?
4) Isaiah 5:1-7 not only corresponds to Jerusalem’s destruction in 587BC and 70AD, but it can also refer to our own spiritual destruction. What does the Lord want you to do to avoid the same mistakes made by ancient Israel?
