In this video I give a final review of the @coopertire Discoverer AT3 XLTs after 14,000 miles of mixed use on a new Defender 110. They've had at least 6,000 miles of gravel roads on them as well as off-road and snow work (I've probably driven a good 2000 miles in varying snow/ice conditions).
The off-road performance is not as good -- or, at least, doesn't seem to be as good as some of their competitors (namely Duratrac), but I would still consider them better than the KO2s for their all round performance. They clearly better the Duratracs in longevity -- losing only 2/32" over their 14,000 mile life. But that harder wearing compound comes at a price: their performance in snow.
The Coopers are a 3PMSF tyre, but they are not a good one. If you are wanting something that would work all year, then technically this is it -- but I think the Duratracs would be a better bet if you do a lot of winter driving. However, if you tramp up and down gravel roads all year, then this tyre is likely the very thing for you. More expensive than the Duratracs, they wear a lot better (they also look better); their off-road performance, however, is only equivalent at best.
