West Beach is the westernmost beach in the Indiana Dunes National Park. It has the largest parking lot of any of the national park beaches. There is a bathhouse with a concession stand and outdoor picnic tables. The Dune Succession Trail is a rewarding hike with some of the most beautiful views in the Indiana Dunes. Keep your eyes open when hiking and you might spot a Prickly Pear Cactus!

Fees: Indiana Dunes National Park Pass or America the Beautiful Pass are required. Daily and special passes are also available.
Lifeguards: yes, from Memorial Day to Labor Day
Pet-Friendly: Leashed pets are allowed on the trails, but not the swimming beach. Pets may walk through the swimming beach area to get to trails, but cannot remain on the beach.
Parking: 596 spaces in several lots.
