Arriving in Germany's ruined capitol, President Truman inspects the devastation that marks the city. (sound) As General Patton, General Eisenhower and Secretary of War Stimson look on, the President makes a brief and informal address to GI's who fought for victory in Europe. He tells them that if the Allies will work for peace as the have worked for victory, they can look forward to the greatest age in the history of mankind. (silent) At the Potsdam Palace, Churchill, Stalin, and Truman begin to map out the plans that will shape the future of the world.
