In October and November, crappie can be found in shallow water on rivers and reservoirs. My go-to tactic for catching crappie is by using a bobber and jig setup. Scanning areas with slower moving current to find brush, rocks, or sunken docks is the best way to find schools of crappie in shallow water (less than 12ft).
