Millions of Americans suffer tooth loss but are unable to find a comfortable, permanent solution to replacing their teeth. Implants are an ideal solution to replacing missing teeth, but because many experience bone loss in their jaw, they've been told dental implants are not a solution for them unless they receive a bone graft. Thanks to advanced technology, this is simply not the case. Zygomatic Implants are a comfortable alternative for patients who suffer an extreme type of bone loss in their upper jaw and are in need of dental implants. This treatment is an alternative to sinus lift bone grafting and blocks bone grafting, which usually requires a bone graft, that uses bone from a different part of the mouth to anchor the implant. Zygomatic implants are placed near the cheekbone, or zygomatic bone and utilize the density from this part of the mouth to sustain the implants. Your experienced Brentwood periodontists can now complete implant procedures more efficiently, cost-effectively, and comfortably for patients, with Zygomatic implants.

Millions of Americans are missing their upper teeth completely, and therefore they're wearing dentures, partials, removable appliances that are actually making the bond condition and the support of their dentures even weaker every day. All on four, as I mentioned before, is an amazing technique for us to be able to replace all the missing teeth with tilting some implants, but sometimes due to the amount of infection, the amount of disease, or just the fact that the patient has lost so much bone. Due to the fact that they have lost their teeth at a young age or wearing partials and dentures for so long were not able to anchor these implants into the native bone.
So we have now this technique that has been introduced in the late 90s that is called the zygomatic dental implant; as the name is describing it, we're actually going to get anchor into the bone the zygoma bone. Which is the bone associated with the cheekbones; these techniques will allow us part of the family of the graft-less solutions to be able to provide our patients with immediate gratification. Meaning that we are able to go ahead and place those implants the very same day and have those teeth and those restorations hooked on those implants the very same day, providing a functional and aesthetic outcome for our patients. Avoiding all the heavy and costly graft procedures that are usually associated with this amount of bone loss that usually patients are coming with. So zygomatic dental implant has changed the way we practice today, has improved the quality of our patients, and I think will provide our severely atrophic extreme cases with a wonderful clinical outcome restoring their self-esteem, their smile, and their function you
