The African Wild Cat is very seldom seen because of its nocturnal lifestyle. I was extremely lucky to see this huge specimen kill and devour a sandgrouse in broad daylight at Kieliekrankie camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Northern Cape province of South Africa.
