The side event ‘Building Resilience for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction in Vulnerable Islands,’ took place on 9 November 2017 during COP23 in Bonn, Germany. The event, presented by the Solomon Islands and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), explored issues relating to disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and building resilience in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), through sharing experiences between the Solomon Islands and Taiwan.
