Update: NTF has fledged today! Congratulations to RLK & GLG's chick who has just begun her maiden voyage. NTF is 227 days old today - she hatched on Jan 24rd. She is four days younger than Manaaki! ♥
Manaaki wakes up to a beautiful day and is seen dozing with one eye open and one eye closed. A little while later, Manaaki sees a parent fly in, along with Quarry and UQ. Manaaki and Quarry run towards LKL and go out of cam view. There is the sound of bill clacking taking place as LKL must be warning Manaaki to back off. LKL is there to feed his own chick Quarry.
LKL then walks towards his nest and Quarry is following begging Dad for her feeding. Manaaki comes over and inserts himself into the mix and gets scolded first by LKL then by Quarry chick. Manaaki then retreats and goes back to his nest. Smart UQ just stays on his nest and does not get involved in the fray. Quarry follows Dad LKL down the track to her nest. She is a one tough albie female - must be a chip off the block with LKL as her Dad!
Later Quarry is seen walking around and goes up the hill to Top Flat. Thank you for watching!
