Want to improve your landscape photographic eye? Don't head for the mountains - the landscapes that will help you grow as a photographer are probably only a few miles away from where you read this now, especially if you're in a city.

Yes what we see most commonly in YouTube Landscape Photography videos are rolling hills and epic vistas from different parts of our own country or other countries. You want to go there but the money you have available is needed to just survive. What do you do? Simple, choose a different landscape that's easier to shoot, just around the corner and VERY different from the stuff you're getting bored of.

Let's face it, we all get bored of our immediate areas and Winter is a common time to be bereft of inspiration in our landscape photography - recovering from the expense of the festive season, we don't have the money to pack up and visit amazing places with our camera.

But we don't need to because the amazing places are still all around us, hiding in plane sight. Hell, many of us will actually WORK in some of the amazing places yet we IGNORE THEM because they are our EVERYDAY thing. They are dirty, untidy, structural, unnatural, smelly places. OR to put it another way, PHOTOGENIC.
