The Taman Bukit Permai 2 landslide has claimed its first victim.

Rescue workers found the body of an 85-year-old woman lodged in a house which was one of several located in the centre of the landslide zone.

Ampang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the woman's body was pulled out at 9.10pm.

She is believed to be the wife of the first victim rescued at 6.54pm today.

At least four people were believed to have been trapped in the landslide that struck this evening, though Bernama reports there may be a fifth.
