All you need to cook a Philly cheesesteak on a griddle are beef, peppers, a hoagie roll, a few basic seasonings, and some Cheese Whiz (“some” was left vaguely intentional for all you cheese-lovers out there). Against all odds, video producer Sean returns to the screen to show you how it’s done using the griddle accessory on an Everdure Furnace gas grill. After slicing and sautéing some bell peppers — you’ll have to forgive Sean for not liking onions — he got to work putting the “steak” in his “Philly cheesesteak” recipe. It turned out that 2 pounds of sliced tri-tip was a bit too much for the griddle, so Sean brilliantly improvised by searing a good portion of the beef on the grill grates instead. The results were better than our intrepid video producer expected, proving that grilled Philly cheesesteak doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. We may have to stage a Cheez Whiz intervention for Sean, though.
