A two handle Moen Kitchen Faucet that is leaking water at the swivel at the base of the spout can be repaired. After removing the cap on top of the spout, you can access the metal body of the faucet which contains two o-rings. Replace the O-rings and that should stop the leak.
If you are the original purchaser of the Moen faucet, there is a lifetime warranty for the parts. Make sure you keep the receipt and the installation instructions that come with the faucet. I've owned this faucet since 2006 and Moen always sends me free parts. They don't try to discourage you by making it difficult. It's usually just a quick phone call and the parts show up in a week or two.
They sent me a plastic diverter. When I tried to turn the old one out of the faucet body, it didn't feel right and I am sure it was starting to round out the hex sided hole. I stopped and didn't go any further. The sprayer works pretty good and I doubt the diverter really needs to be replace. For sure, it was going to be stuck in there and I might have to break it to get it out. I could damage the faucet. I opted out.
In the past, I've tried to take O-rings from a Moen faucet to the hardware store. The ones I took to the store were not standard sizes.
