It is arguably one the most significant transformative periods in national security space history, affecting all aspects of space organization, capabilities, operations, readiness, training, and culture. Space Operations Command (SpOC) – which will mark two years as part of the U.S. Space Force this month – is an essential part of that transformation. As a field command of the U.S. Space Force and service component to U.S. Space Command, SpOC is responsible for the generation, presentation, and sustainment of combat-ready intelligence, cyber, space, and combat support forces.
Please join the CSIS Aerospace Security Project virtually on Friday, October 14 at 12:30 p.m. ET for a conversation between Lieutenant General Stephen N. Whiting, Commander of Space Operations Command, and CSIS’s Kari Bingen, on the changing space operating environment and how SpOC is postured to maintain a warfighting advantage in space and for the joint force.
This event is made possible by general support to CSIS.
