Join Jillian as she looks for early signs of spring!
Whether in urban backyards or in the woods, this is a great time of year to look for seasonal changes in animals, flora and the weather! Get in the spirit of spring while you look for animals such as deer and ducks pairing off and getting ready to begin nesting, and for red-bellied robins returning from the south to prepare for warmer weather.
Listening for the sounds of spring is also a great way to work on your child’s auditory senses while getting outside. This includes listening to the sounds of chirping birds, pairs of hooting owls and spring peepers.
Looking for signs of emerging plants and changing weather such as rain is a great way to learn about the ways that seasons change through firsthand, immersive experiences!
