There are many people complaining about having been disfellowshipped from the Jehovah's Witnesses' organisation, or know of someone who has been.
As Jehovahites of Empire of Jehovah, we believe that the Bible is Jehovah God's book to us, and that it is the only authority on religious belief and practices.
There are some things that God says are not acceptable to him and can't be tolerated inside the Christian congregation. One example, and its the sin that takes the majority, is fornication, or sex outside of marriage.
The Bible gives us an example of this happening in the congregation of Corinth, in the first century. This is what the Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 5: 1-5: "fornication is reported among you, and such fornication as is not even among the nations, that a wife a certain man has of his father. And are you puffed up? And did you not rather mourn, in order that the man that committed this deed should be taken away from your midst? I for one, although absent in body but present in spirit, have certainly judged already, as if I were present, the man who has worked in such a way as this, that in the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are gathered together, also my spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus, you hand such a man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, in order that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord."
Two expressions used in that scripture are "the man that committed this deed should be taken away from your midst", and "hand such a man over to satan for the destruction of the flesh". So, in the case of unrepentant fornication, the action the congregation should take is clear: the person should be removed.
He then goes on to say in verse 6: "Do you not know that a little leaven ferments the whole lump? Clear away the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, just as you are free from ferment." The whole congregation would become filled with fornication if the person was not put out.
In this example, the fornicator later repented, and was warmly accepted back by his brothers.
It would be very hypocrital for a Christian to pretend to agree with a fornicator being put out of the congregation, but then associate openly with that person in private. If the person has been put out of Christ, then each member of Christ needs to put that one out of his or her heart. Otherwise the Christian has no loyalty to Christ and no love or respect for God.
So disfellowshipping, or shunning, in the case of fornication, is not a Jehovah's Witnesses' policy, but a principle of the Bible.
On the other hand, if the principle of disfellowshipping has been used to shut a person up, or keep someone in subordination, when in fact they have committed no serious sin, then that is a disgusting abuse of power and will not go unpunished by Jehovah God. Only those sins that Jehovah expresses strong hatred of should lead to disfellowshipping, and then only if the person is unrepentant. No one has any more authority that this. Those judging must remember the rule of 1st Corinthians 4: 6: "Do not go beyond the things written." Fornication, spiritism, and violence are some of the things that the congregation should rightly disfellowship. And the congregation must accept back anyone who is repentant for any such sin.
If an organisation uses the disfellowshipping principle to shut people up who ask questions, or disagree with something they have said, then that organisation itself will be disfellowshipped from its relationship with Jehovah. And how much more so if it is doing bad things and covering up wrong doing! If it fails to disfellowship for serious wrongdoing, for example, covering up false accusations and slander, that organisation is guilty and will be disfellowshipped by Jehovah in the worst possible way. And so they will if they tolerate homosexuality, gender changing, or the overturning of the headship arrangement. They will lose Jehovah's spirit, become apostates, and will be destroyed together with the rest of Babylon the Great.
If you feel that you have been unscripturally and wrongfully disfellowshipped, or you have committed a sin but regret it and have stopped doing it, get in contact with Empire of Jehovah. We will do everything we can to help you. Together we will carry on with our worship and service to Jehovah our God and his son Jesus Christ.
