At the European Union Cyber Forum on 14 September 2020, the HR/VP Josep Borrell gave a keynote, underlining that cyber issues are geo-political in nature and have a strong security dimension.
The EU Cyber Forum is a platform for promoting the European Union’s global engagement on cyber and digital issues. It provides an opportunity for the European Union to showcase its efforts and exchange good practices with other participating countries. Organised in cooperation with the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity – ENISA, and the European Cybercrime Centre at Europol, the 2020 edition brought together over 600 individuals representing around 100 countries and different stakeholder communities.
