Canon recently let Sigma use their worst aps-c lenses for the RF mount. They slipped past the Cripple Hammer somehow. You think it's just Canon that doesn't want 3rd party lenses to be made for their system? Lenses are where they make the most money. All companies do something to cripple 3rd party lenses. Nikon won't allow just any lens to be made, they have to approve it. Sony allows any lens, but cripples camera features with those lenses. Panasonic and OM System literally share a mount and you can't use stabilization on Olympus lenses, or aperture rings from Panasonic lenses on each other's bodies. Fuji doesn't sync stabe with 3rd party lenses. 3rd party lenses are the bane of every camera manufacturer's existence!
