Tanjung Tinggi Beach is located in Sijuk, Belitung, and is not far from Tanjung Kelayang Beach.

Located in the north of Belitung Island, the distance is 37 km from downtown Tanjung Pandan.

I visited this beach on 23 March 2023, and I have enjoyed it very much.

Tanjung Tinggi is a beach flanked by 2 peninsulas: Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Pendam.

This beach has an area of 80 hectares with white sand and hundreds of giant granite boulders scattered on both the peninsula and in the sea in front of the beach. Granite sizes range from a few cubic meters to hundreds of cubic meters and are sometimes much bigger than the size of a house.

Tanjung Tinggi is also called Bilik Harbour. Previously, this place was a fishing port for the nearest village, Keciput or Tanjung Tinggi.

Tanjung Tinggi Beach was once used as a shooting location for the film Laskar Pelangi and Sang Pemimpi, so it is commonly called Laskar Pelangi Beach.

Laskar Pelangi is a 2008 Indonesian drama film directed by Riri Riza from a screenplay written by Salman Aristo with Riri Riza and Mira Lesmana based on the novel of the same name by Andrea Hirata.

Sang Pemimpi is a 2009 Indonesian adventure drama film adapted from the second novel Laskar Pelangi Tetralogy by Andrea Hirata. This film was directed by Riri Riza and produced by Mira Lesmana.
