0:00 5 Easy Tips To Reduce Oxalate Levels
In this video, I will provide you with 5 easy tips which will definitely help you reduce oxalate levels in your body and as well as helps to lower the oxalate levels in food too.
1:02 Drink plenty of fluid
The number one is plenty of fluid intakes. Whether or not, you have Chronic Kidney Disease CKD or Polycystic Kidney Disease PKD unless you specifically know that you have a fluid restriction. Having plenty of fluid intakes is awesome when it comes to oxalate management.
1:31 Drink some lemon water
Add some lemon to your water. Lemon is a good source of citrate and citrate is a nutrient that can help these calcium oxalate crystals don’t form in the urine.
2:02 Swap some high oxalate foods
Know your high oxalate foods and some great swaps! For example instead of spinach use romaine. Instead of raspberries use blueberries. Instead of almonds use pecans. We like the freebie download on Jill Harris's website for high/low oxalate foods. [ Ссылка ]
3:07 Add some calcium to your diet
Know how to safely add some calcium. This one is very individualized as we try to limit calcium supplements.
3:53 One on One session with Expert
Find a dietitian who understands oxalate management! if you have PKD, schedule a call with us! We have a great team with our own PKD nutrition expert. One of our recent clients with PKD told us, "Everyone should have a dietitian work with them. I think I probably did more damage than good trying to manage my nutrition on my own."
5:06 Lower Oxalate Level In Foo - Summary
The number one oxalate management tip is to use plenty of fluid. Second use some lemon water. Watch out for some high oxalate foods and swap them with some low oxalate foods. Learn how to use calcium appropriately in your diet and the last one is to work with a dietitian. That is where there’s so much value. They can sort through the pieces.
