Chiaro, a business that develops consumer technology to improve women’s lives, has launched a pioneering pelvic floor tracker.
Chiaro ([ Ссылка ]) made the breakthrough following a boost from Innovate UK, which awarded a start-up grant and introduced co-founders Tania Boler and Alexander Asseily to each other.
The company’s latest product is Elvie, a “small yet powerful” exercise tracker for the pelvic floor. It links to a mobile phone to intelligently track progress and improve technique.
The invention is designed to tackle a key issue in women’s health: one in three women have bladder problems and without regular exercise, pelvic floor muscles are likely to cause more than half of all women’s bladder, sex or prolapse problems.
Elvie combines the best medical technology with elegance and simplicity and secured ‘Best R&D Product’ at Axa’s Health Tech & You Awards, 2015.
Chiaro is growing at a fast pace and is on track to employ at least 30 people by the end of 2016.
