How to make Karak Chai Strong Indian Tea . So today we are going to make Karak Chai which basically means "Strong Tea"
Many of us probably had this by our parents when we were younger, it started of in India and now has also made its way and gained popularity in to places like Dubai too!
I’ve tried the powdered instant stuff from the supermarket, and I've tried it in some tea houses and restaurant’s and to me personally it tastes the same!
So i'm gonna show you the proper way so you can also tell and taste the difference!
This is also an ideal ramadan recipe and so refreshing after a day of fasting :-)

All of the ingredients you can buy from local supermarket or indian grocers.
You will need:
1 cup water
Tea !!(obviously!) and u will need 1 heaped tsp. i find using loose tea is best but you can also use tea bags as most people have these in the kitchen allready! I would say 1 tbag per person.
1 ½ cups Full fat milk, but in this day most people are health concious so its not necessary but personally i think it helps make a great tea!but if u wish u can use semi skimmed.
Sugar to taste, I am going to add about 4tsps.
Fresh ginger, u can add this depending on how strong u want the ginger flavour in ur tea.
Few cardomon pods ,ive opened them helps the flavour infuse
1 cinnamon stick
Oh and you cant forget the tea strainer.
