This successful tune composed by Mills and Ellington belonged to the repertoire of the Duke Ellington Band, the complete title being It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing. All jazz fans certainly remember the legendary version on the record The Great Reunion, recorded in New-York in April 1961 by Duke Ellington (1899-1974) with the Louis Armstrong Band.
