Although the pandemic has brought many hardships to our community, it has also presented the opportunity to organize and rebuild that intangible sense of human connection. Being forced to isolate and ultimately pause, gave us the gift of time to assess and focus on what truly matters. Being forced to isolate and ultimately pause, gave us the gift of time to assess and focus on what truly matters. This talk will touch on Mutual Aid as a movement, why it works and what it means to our community and our volunteers. We will also discuss the direction of Mutual Aid in the Grand Valley as it relates to sustainability past the pandemic and the natural evolution of the needs of our community.
