This international climate conference, COP29, convenes in Baku, Azerbaijan. The president-designate for COP29, Mukhtar Babayev, is a former vice-president at state-owned oil and gas company Socar, and is refusing to consider reassessing Azerbaijan’s oil and gas economy. Despite this, we must call on Christians and others of good will to amplify the voices of those suffering the impacts of climate breakdown. And we must pray.
